Volunteers Vacancies

Are you able to give up a few hours to help with the 2008 Festival organisers? These are some of the skills we are seeking:

Fundraising
A fundraising sub-committee will be formed in September 2007 to look at raising money to support the 2008 festival. Do you have experience of raising funding from grants and external funding sources? Could you give the committee some of your time helping to raise enough funds for 2008?

Seeking Sponsorship
Do you have experience working with businesses finding ways both the arts and the business can benefit from involvement together? Could you give the Festival some time by making some beneficial connections?

On Line Booking Facility
The commitee are looking to provide an online booking system for this website, do you have the experience you could donate to providing this service?

Marketing
We are also looking for Volunteers who could help with promoting the event such as writing press releases, contacting the press, putting up posters, extending web links, promoting the website.

Illustrator Needed for 2008
Are you an Illustrator looking for increased profile? Each year the Festival showcases a new artist through the brochure illustrations. So far we have showcased Illustrators Sue Hole (2004 & 2005) Jenny Noscoe(2006)and Jamie Littler (2007).
Is this something you could offer the Sting in the Tale `a festival of stories`? Interviews will be held to find an Illustrator in 2008. See the gallery of Jamie Littler who illustrated the 2007 Sting in the Tale brochure.
